About Seldon
Seldon Solutions S.L. is a Spanish SME based in Barcelona. It builds chat engines for regulated commerce in Europe, and the products that run on them.
01The company
Seldon was founded in Barcelona. Over the last two years the company has been built around one operating question: how do we build commercial-grade conversational software for regulated European markets without building it on infrastructure we do not control?
We build for Spanish-language markets first. Each vertical's expertise maps onto regulated European commerce more broadly as the company grows.
02Our position
WhatsApp is the fastest commercial channel to customers in Spain today, and we use it.
Our position is not against WhatsApp. It is that the conversation logic, the customer journey, the data controls and the compliance posture should not depend on one messaging app, controlled by one gatekeeper under terms it can change alone.
03What we make
- Live
- KalimbaPOS, a point of sale for bars and restaurants, in private beta. Cambialeón, electricity and gas switching in Spain. QuiqSim, travel eSIMs. The last two are chat products, built with CAAS.
- Services
- SwitchAPI and Factástico, by arrangement.
Each vertical keeps its own compliance lattice, and each chat product runs on its own engine. Matrix is the first sovereignty-aligned channel we are validating. More on the CAAS sheet.
04Disclosures
- Two chat products are live, Cambialeón and QuiqSim, and KalimbaPOS is in private beta.
- Our hosting is in the EU. Its certifications are the provider's own: not a Seldon sovereignty certification and not an ENS certification.
- We do not claim readiness for the Spanish public sector. ENS certification under Royal Decree 311/2022 is not in hand.
